INFOCOM

Società fondata nel 1979 su idea di Joel Berez da ex ricercatori del MIT (Massachusset Institute of Technology) ad oggi praticamente defunta. La Infocom era nota sopratutto nel campo delle avventure testuali, elevato al rango di arte dai suoi abilissimi autori sin dal primo titolo prodotto, intitolato ”Zork”.

Negli ultimi anni, la società ha più volte tentato di esplorare nuove forme di letteratura interattiva, ed era fra le più interessate alla produzione di titoli su CD-ROM. Sono stati prodotti titoli fino al 2000 ma sono per lo più tutte raccolte di giochi basati sulle avventure di ”Zork”.
